Glen's Market

This 38,000 square foot Spartan Store is located in Manistee Michigan.  Rohde worked closely with the architect, developer, and Spartan Stores to maintain a tight development schedule and budget.  The site required 160,000 CY of sand fill which was placed 24 hours a day to beat advancing winter conditions.  The fill material for the site was conveniently located across the road from the site.  Unfortunately, the road was a major state highway.  In order to get the quantity of fill material needed in the short window available, a massive conveyor system was used to transfer the fill material across the highway, over the tops of the passing cars.  In spite of the late season start, the project was completed on time and on budget.
